Great submittal; I’m never sure what to pick for the Odd Ball challenge. I didn’t even see that the boats were without water. I was more enamored with the color and liveliness in such a dreary environment.

Very true. Plus, I associate those colors with the Caribbean and Mexico, not Ireland. I need to get out more!

Thanks. They were pretty sweet animals actually. It was taken on a farm we stayed at for about a week. They had tons of donkeys but it was the muddy baby that captured my heart.

What an eclectic collection! I love the shaggy donkeys and of course, anything Guinness. Hmmm, I’m feeling a bit thirsty. I wonder why?

I loved the donkeys too… but also the Guinness in Baby Bottles sign…. because after all you just got to start them young on that stuff.

Where did you take the natural history photo and header? Ireland or Smithsonian?

I took them at the Natural History museum in Dublin. They have lots of “stuffed animals” there. I particularly like the old building they are houses in.

I can imagine. When you go Paris this year 🙂 you need to visit the Museum d’histoire naturelle, rue Cuvier, at the Jardin des plantes. You will be fascinated. 🙂

I don’t mind the Irish/Breton drizzle. Just because I am from California doesn’t mean my skin likes the sun! Somehow when I am traveling I don’t mind the rain or the drizzle. It just adds charm. Now wind and cold are another thing…

I prefer the sun a million times. That was the great part of being raised in Africa. We spent our entire days in the sea. Now cold is all right when you’re equipped for it. For instance in Mexico, most houses don’t have central heating. Ours doesn’t. I need to build a chimney.

These are great Jenny! Love your stealth photo of the Guinness in baby bottles. Good heavens. Well, those babies probably slept well. It was a good choice to lead off with the donkey carving at the top – it’s a perfect oddball photo. The harp graffiti I think I’ve seen in the Guinness post, and I particularly like that one. Also, how neat that we both posted photos of basalt columns recently. In the waterfall post you just commented on, did you notice the photo where I mentioned the columns? I should have taken a photo more from the top, like you did at Giant’s Causeway. I am fascinated by geology and have wanted to see the Giant’s Causeway for a long time.
