When are they going to finish putting the first one up?? 😉
In the second one i see mountain range, ocean, waves, ridges and rivers and streams or is that just me?
the last one just confirms the adage…”Beauty is only Skin Deep (But Ugly goes clear down to the bone (or teeth) ).
From the available evidence i think we have more in common with our view about ‘Art’, than differences. 🙂
Yah. I’m on the fence about the lead one. It’s cool but a mess. The tattoo guy was even creepier in full size. And the white painting seems like a cop out to me but I guess I would need to know more about the artist to know for sure. It reminds me of having writers block.
Stay tuned for more interesting art from my visit…
Agree totally. 6 on a 5-point scale. The three white canvasses always have the same result on me: “Art as we know it, is dead. Here is the proof”. 😉
(And I am a fervent admirer of the MOMA in NY, have to go there every time I am in NY. But, vacuum is vacuum)
It’s world class. I saw an Olmec exhibit there a while back that was one of my favorite ever. (Big stone Olmec heads.) And another highlight was Georgia O’Keefe. I need to see if anything else interesting is coming this year.
Oh did I really enjoy looking at your photos this week. Thanks. Terrific shots.

I’m sure it was. You and I seem to like the same museums. I am still very grateful for the de Young museum you tipped us on. 🙂

Olmec heads are quite impressive. 8How on earth do they manage to transport those things. Georgia O’Keefe? Nice. I like her work.

I have no idea because they did t take the roof off of the place and use a crane. They were massive.

Several tons each, I think. And yes, taking off the roof is the smartest option! 🙂 (I hadn’t thought of that. 🙂
