I have always had a fondness for Calla Lilies since my Grandmother had a yard full of them. I found the color and shape of these from the Maple Rock Garden Bloomtastic event interesting and unusual. They look park leaf, part flower, park lili pad to me.
This concludes my Maple Rock Gardens series. I hope you have enjoyed your macro garden tour! Thank you for joining me. Be sure to tip your driver!
Stunning photos. I really have enjoyed your series. 😀

Thank you so much! It was especially fun to get out of the house due to my little guy. Now I need to find the next adventure.

Thank you for the tour. Where will your next adventure take you? (us?)

Not sure yet. Probably some short trips close to home. Maybe Phoenix in the fall.

Ah, yes. Phoenix. Remind who lives there? A relation of yours? Have it on the tip of my tongue… Hmmm.

Great Aunt and piles of cousins of all ages.

That’s right. I kinda thought cousins. That’s a good plan.

It would be Colin’s first flight if I go!

A first! (Remember to rub his ears as the plane goes up and then down, to equalize the pressure so he doesn’t cry.)

He will probably cry for any number of other reasons! I’ll do my best. I am very anxious about the traveling part but I just need to get over it. He is tougher than I am. Maybe a trip to Mexico City one of these days so he can meet Gonzalo.

Do you have any trips planned? Paris?

Yes. Thank God! Paris booked on the 30th. Both excited and nervous since last year I got so ill in Pari I had to cancel most of my stay and come back to urgencies… 😦

No need to be nervous. This year will be perfect. Last year was a tough year for all of you. This year will be full of light and happiness and healing and you need Paris to help with that. 🙂

Thank you for your kind words. 🙂
I do look very much forward to the long walks in Paris and along the Seine. Will send photos. 🙂

Please do. And go to Giverny if you have time.

Yes, we might. My wife doesn’t know the place. (Railroad strikes notwithstanding) 😉

Yeah. French unions are probably the worse. They’ve been on strike for almost two months now. 😦

Oh no. Let’s hope there is a reprieve while you are there.

Normally yes. French unions are lazy, so they don’t strike during the holidays!

They were on strike when I was there last too. I made it to and from the airport but my friend did not.

You were lucky. The unions can be very much a pain in the… neck. Many people live outside Paris, and work in the city. One week strike affects millions of people just to go to work and back.

I seem to recall my friend got caught up in all of it and couldn’t make her train back to Germany when she expected but everything is fuzzy now about that trip. (I was pregnant. lol)

Yeah. I remember. But it was a nice trip nonetheless, right?

Of course. He’s a traveler and he doesn’t even know it yet.

Actually come to think of it I took a car to get back like because of the strike!

There is a bus outward and inward. With stops in Porte Maillot, Gare de lyon, Montparnasse, etc. Very comfortable. And affordable, much more so than taxis. It used to belong to Air France. Now they’ve renamed it Le bus direct. I always use that.

I think I took the train to the subway and then the subway in. And the subway was not particularly comfortable nor was the train with my luggage. Perhaps the bus would be better and more comfortable. Is the cost comparable?

I never take the train (luggage and all) so I don’t know. Bus cost is like 30 Euros round trip. Not bad.

Comparable I think. I seem to remember it being somewhere around 11 each way but I don’t remember.

Yeah it’s probably comparable in cost. Which means the Bus is abetter deal. 🙂
