I’ve been on the hunt for this mural as part of Sacramento’s Wide Open Walls 916 festival for a while and it has eluded me until now. After driving down a few alleyways I at last found this cheerful little gem. Simple and lovely! What a joy it must be to drive by and see this every day for those who live in the area! Who else is humming to the Beatles?

Love it! The funny thing is it is literally true. The sun only came out here what about three days ago? The smoke has started to lift. It still kind of comes and goes. But the sun did come out around the time I posted this. Have a good one and I hope you and Peggy are safe.

The sun is shining here now! It’s even supposed to rain, which I will believe when we get wet! In the meantime, we are more concerned about the strong winds that may be fanning the Slater fire in our direction. Thanks. –Curt

Funny enough so was I but for a different reason. It was all my parents listened to and they wouldn’t let us listen to anything else at home or in the car. We hated it as kids but grew to love it and now my brothers and I totally love the 50’s 60’s music almost like it was our own.

I thought so, since your father is about one of my older brothers’ age. I still have my parents’ 50’s and 60′ records, which I thought dull then. Digitalizing some from time to time. Good music. (And I still have my Beatles original LP’s) 🎶
