It’s impossible to ignore the drought when driving over this massive bridge staring at the water marks from years before. Thankfully we have received a decent amount of water here in Northern California, 130% of normal I am told so far. But, still the brutal fact remains we need a lot more. Spring flowers are starting to bloom and we still haven’t had enough water…

Judging by your posts, draught is a serious problem in California right?
Aren’t there (cheap) ways to store and recuperate rain water? Individual rain water tanks at the houses?
More dams? 🙂

Yeah I live in CA and we are literally out of water. Worst drought in recorded history! We do have some legislation in place and a new desalination plant that is up and running in Carlsbad but we need to be wary of our usage. It sucks though. Makes me nervous. But we manage.

Yeah it’s been hot the past few weeks in SoCal. Like. WTF?! Summer starts in February now and lasts until November. I’ve already used my AC a couple times

There sure are. But, the politics here don’t actually allow for much positive change. It has been a wet winter so far so there is hope.
