There is no lack of interesting Parisian Graffiti to go around. Below are a few excerpts of some of my favorites. Others will be included in future posts surely.

Great pictures – you even got an ‘action’ shot! I love graffiti and took loads of pictures on our recent trip to Reykjavik, where it seems like almost every other building has a mural of some sort. Thanks for the invite to post a link, hopefully this works for anyone that is interested 🙂

When you say “graffiti” all I think of anymore is tagging. No creativity; just someone marking their territory. What great examples of public art on the street.

Despite the obvious skill levels it’s hard to call it serious art at the same time because most of it is illegal still. Tough one though…

Illegal? Really? They are amazing.
It is a tough question because I remember loving the graffiti on the subway cars in New York knowing that it wasn’t right. Now I think back and it was iconic of the era.

These are great! Some really great stencil work, in particular.

There is graffiti and there is graffiti, right?. There are those who use it too mark their territory and deface property, and there are those who create something of value. I really like the way it has evolved into “public art.” The best of the graffiti artists are quite skilled. Thanks for sharing. –Curt

Indeed. I wonder if one’s opinion would change if they were the property owner? I thought a lot about that in Paris. Some of the art was really awesome. But, bottom line it was on the front of their house, or gate, or garage door…

Admittedly. Mine might. But if I could direct where they put it…

Love it. As you said, there is a lot of street art in Paris, Some good, some not so good. Your selection is grand. 🙂
