This will be the last set of Parisian doors for this trip. I hope you have enjoyed the doors I have chosen to share on this Thursday Door tour through Paris. They are a beautiful source of inspiration and happiness for me. And many thanks to Norm for his challenge which provides me an excuse to share them with you.

The wisteria was just beginning to bloom while we were in Paris which attracted me to all sorts of gates. If only it had been this lovely in Giverny…

Imagine the history this door has seen.

I love this worn knocker.

Something like this would be blight where I live but it is living art and not to be messed with elsewhere in the world. Doors like this keep me traveling.
Check out some of my previous doors from France and all over the world by clicking here.
I really like the contrast between the purple wisteria, the white walls and the black gate in the first photo. There’s been some great images in your door posts, you could make a nice collage of them all.

Love the last one. A combination of age and color plus the hint of light inside. –Curt

So beautiful! I love the Wisteria and that gorgeous old door knocker. France is such a wonderful country and I’m just heartbroken at the terrible news coming out of Nice tonight,

Me too. 73 people they are saying. Terrible. Terrible. And on Bastille day.

Yes, I saw that. So shocking.

Beautiful captures, love all of them. The details make them really special.
On this day though they make me a bit sad as well. Thoughts and prayers to Nice.

A great selection my friend. Is the wisteria on the way up to Montmartre? 🤔

Is the wisteria gone now?

Hiavent’t gone to Montmarte yet, if that is the street I am thinking (is that the one where you come across a bronze statue sticking out of the wall? (But there is wisteria in the garden here and no flowers in the summer)

Yes, down the road from the museum with the grapevines. But, there were a few of them around town that looked similar.

The wisteria is beautiful. The peeling paint would be one of those projects driving me nuts on my “to-do” list and you have made it into art. The door wouldn’t have as much character without it.

Peeling paint seems to be the look a lot of people go for in Europe. Maybe you should live there so the projects won’t get on top of you?! 😉

It would be nice to spend more time traveling and less painting
