It’s never felt better to say Happy New Year Everyone! Many thanks to all of you for taking some of your precious time to read and visit my blog in 2020. I hope I was able to play some tiny part in making this rough year more tolerable for all of you particularly those of you who were housebound for all or much of the year.
Included below are links to a few of my most visited blogs from the 2020 plus maybe a few of my favorites peppered in for balance! It feels like I haven’t been anywhere in 2020 or seen anything but this little exercise going through my photos and posts certainly says different. (So thanks for that.) Cheers for a better 2021 wherever you are! Be Healthy and Happy Travels wherever you go.

Excellent retrospective. Love to see happy children. What is that snowy hill at the top?

Thank you! Good question, that is Donner Pass famous for the ill fated Donner Party. I did a post on the abandoned train tunnels there. It’s pretty spectacular on a normal day but with snow it is even more gorgeous. Than line you see is for the trains.

Reading your blogs is always like coming home for me since you feature so many of the places I have been to and experienced growing up and when I lived in Sacramento, not to mention your wonderful coverage of murals. Thanks so much. And a wonderful, hopefully less chaotic/traumatic New Year to you. –Curt

Well thank you very much! I’m so glad I can bring you back to some of these places. Hoping to get out and see the rest of the world again soon. But in the meantime there are worse places to travel locally to. Where should I visit locally next?
I really enjoy your blog too. I’ve visited some of the places you have featured too and it’s fun to see it through your lens.
Cheers!

You may have done posts on Auburn, Nevada City and Grass Valley but if so, I think I missed them. If not they certainly fit your foothill and gold country theme. 🙂
I’m glad you enjoy my blog as well! Thank you. –Curt

Question? Have you been to the Empire Mine SP in Grass Valley?

So funny thing. When I was looking up the links to send you I was trying to find a post that I did on empire mine. I photographed a wedding and engagement session there. And I took some really lovely photos while I was at it. And I just realized I have never done a post. I took a mental note to dig them up and do one. More to follow.

🙂 I look forward to it. I don’t remember taking any photos when Peggy and I were there but it was before I started blogging. I do remember it was interesting, including a trip down into the mine. –Curt

I like them all. It is your summary of what you saw last year.
And of course, little C. on the beach is such an image of happiness.
